According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 34,000 tons of steel coils in September this year, decreasing by 4.8% compared to the previous month and rising by 17% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 23,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.8% and a year-on-year hike of 20.6%. Canada ranked second with around 11,300 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many.
The export value was approximately US$36 million during the period, down by 8.4% month on month and up by 14.7% year on year.
