According to data from the Ukrainian steelmakers' association Ukrmetallurgprom, in July, Ukraine's pig iron output totaled nearly 621,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.1% but a year-on-year increase of 15.5%.
Meanwhile, the country's crude steel output amounted to about 709,000 tons, decreasing by 3.5% from the previous month but increasing by 17.7% compared to the same month a year ago. The production of steel products was around 889,000 tons, growing by 3% month on month and increasing by 11.4% from the same month of 2023.
Besides, in the first seven months of this year, Ukraine produced 4.09 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year increase of 21.2%. The crude steel output grew by 33.6% from the corresponding period a year ago to 4.58 million.
