According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending January 25, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.641 million net tons, decreasing by 0.2% from the same period a week ago but rising by 0.7% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 73.7%, down by 0.1% week on week and up by 0.4% year on year.
As of the week ending January 25, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 5.878 million short tons, growing by 1.0% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 73.9%, up by 0.6% year on year.
