According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel production in October 2025 was 143.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9% and a month-on-month increase of 1.1%.
Among them, crude steel production in Asia and Oceania in October 2025 was 102.4 million tons (year-on-year -8.2%). EU (27 countries) production was 10.8 million tons (-3.5%). North American production was 9.1 million tons (+4.7%). Middle Eastern production was 5.4 million tons (+9.2%). South American production was 3.7 million tons (-1.1%). European and other regions production was 3.6 million tons (+3.8%). African production was 2 million tons (+0.8%).
The top three steel-producing countries in October were China with 72 million tons (year-on-year -12.1%), India with 13.6 million tons (+5.9%), and the United States with 7 million tons (+9.4%).
From January to October this year, global steel production totaled 1.518 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%.
