According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US steel mills distributed 8.5365 million net tons of steel in June, up by 8.7% compared to June 2025 and by 4.8% from the preceding month.

Total shipments for the first half of 2026 reached 47.527 million net tons, climbing by 5.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2025.

Product comparisons over the first six months indicated that corrosion-resistant sheet and strip shipments jumped by 14%, and hot-rolled sheet and strip grew by 8%. Meanwhile, cold-rolled sheet and strip remained unchanged.
