Jindal Stainless, India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, allocated Rs 900 crore in its FY26 annual report to boost cold rolling capacity from 2.05 MTPA to 2.67 MTPA by FY28, addressing growing automotive and industrial needs.

This plan will add 0.62 MTPA of capacity across Hisar, Kharagpur, and Jajpur facilities.

Finished products sales reached 2.57 million tonnes in FY26, climbing by 8.1% year on year, with consolidated revenue hitting Rs 42,955 crore and EBITDA rising by 19.2% to Rs 5,560 crore.

Besides, the firm plans a Rs 40,000 crore specialized stainless steel manufacturing plant in Maharashtra for the hydrogen, defense, and nuclear sectors, supporting import substitution and aligning melting with downstream capacities.
