Surveys indicate that prices of flat steel bars in the US market are either stable or edging upward. Due to tightening supply, robust demand, and strong end-user consumption, spot supplies from local steel mills remain limited. Consequently, buyers generally anticipate stable or slightly rising prices and are relying on imports to meet demand.
Meanwhile, imports of hot-rolled coil (HRC) from suppliers in South Korea, Vietnam, Turkey, and Brazil are expected to arrive in the US in November.
Regarding market inventory, most participants believe supply levels will hold steady in August, but forecast a decline in stock volumes. In terms of raw material costs, the majority of industry players expect prices to remain stable throughout August.
