ArcelorMittal France will launch five new production lines at its electrical steel plant in Mardyck from 2024.

The new lines include an annealing-pickling line, a reversible rolling mill, a preparation line, an annealing-varnishing line, and a slitting line, with a total production capacity of 200,000 tons per year. With the new lines, ArcelorMittal’s electrical steel production in France will amount to 300,000 tons, mainly supplied to the European market.

According to the company, the operation and management of the lines will need 100 operators and engineers.
