Recently, the streetlight lighting project in Fangcun Village, Wutun Subdistrict, Yanliang District, Xi'an, was fully completed. As a key public welfare initiative under the Wutun Subdistrict theme campaign "Taking on Hundred Tasks to Deliver Real Benefits to the People," the special task team responsible for Fangcun Village has taken concrete measures to resolve the difficulties faced by villagers when traveling at night, earning unanimous recognition and widespread praise from the local community.

Previously, Fangcun Village already had some streetlights, but due to the large spacing between them, many back alleys and side streets remained in lighting blind spots. The lack of adequate nighttime illumination not only made travel inconvenient for villagers but also posed safety hazards. In response to public expectations, the subdistrict office and the village's "two committees" carefully planned and implemented the additional lighting. Building on the existing streetlight infrastructure, they reasonably reduced the spacing between lights and installed new solar streetlights. All cement-paved roads and alleys with suitable conditions throughout the village were equipped with lighting as needed, achieving complete coverage with no dark corners.
A total of 148 new solar streetlights were installed in this project, including 4 in Sunzhuang Group, 17 in Fangxi Group, 15 in Fangzhong Group, 30 in Fangdong Group, 42 in Yidong Group, and 40 in Yixi Group. The lighting fixtures are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, providing uniform and ample illumination. This not only ensures safe nighttime travel but also enhances the village's overall appearance. With the streetlights now lit, the villagers are all smiles. Their conversations are filled with genuine praise: "Now, whether on the main roads or the small alleys in our village, everything is brightly lit. Going out for evening walks, picking up kids from school, or visiting neighbors is so safe and convenient. We no longer have to feel our way in the dark like before!"
